D-Day (The Soldiers' Story) by Giles Milton, recently finished it as a pre-curser to a battlefield bus tour of the 1944 Normandy Landings.

During a very pleasant few days away in t'countryside . . . . John Grisham's latest "Sparring Partners". 3x stories that certainly have JG's stamp on them, but I have suspected for a while now that they mostly ghost written over a plot sketch.

Far more enjoyable was "This Much Is True", Miriam Margolyes lockdown auto biography. She confirms that she is exactly what you see on the tin with all of the natural creative genius's faults. I particularly like how she can slag off an actor's behaviour for a whole paragraph when she's just admitted doing exactly the same herself 30 pages ago.

Just finished Grishams' The Guardians. Great book, great read and extremely well written. I'd put him up there with Stieg Larsson.

Reading Ludlums' Treadstone Resurrection presently. Ok but a bit predictable.
