Taylor Wimpey new build sockets/plugs query

If you don't mind the sockets being a little proud of the wall, you can buy spacers, which fit between socket and wall. They can save a lot of work.

    Cooker Hood No Power

As a general rule, fit the lowest amperage fuse, which doesn't blow in normal use. 3amp, should be OK.

    Surface drain blocked

Does the drain, where you have has your ar down, appear to head directly towards that manhole cover, which you describe as a 'road drain'?

    New Mixer Tap Rusting?

Where it is appearing, I would suggest it is the grub screw which retains the swivel spout, which is rusting. It's usually an allen grub screw, if you can remove it, and swap it for a stainless steel version.

Got it now! That suggests the signal direct from the antenna, is just too weak to drive the TV. It's not interference, because your amp would amplify both signal and interference. If your reception is OK, your HD is OK, then what actually is the issue?

Siphonic aspirators / poor flush action

OK - never heard of siphonic aspirators, until the recent post. We have two toilets, of exactly the same design, same flush tank, same fill valve ect.. Both have always had a poor flush - customary method, is to have a jug of water to hand, press the handle, and add the jug of water, as the...

That, contradicts this... An outdoor antenna beats an indoor one, by a wide margin, especially in bad weather - can you not fit one outdoors?

    Heat pump location

They basically 'suck' heat from one place, and transfer it to somewhere else. So it would suck the heat from your hut, which would cool, but then what?. A heat pump needs as open a space as possible.

Does a tool exist to measure mm/m level?

A water level, cheap, dead accurate over any distance, and they do not drift!

Extractor fan in bathroom - jumper 1 has been removed

Yep, they sound the same! Any computer repairer would have boxes of them, if you are stuck..

Extractor fan in bathroom - jumper 1 has been removed

I cannot make it out in your photo, but possibly the jumpers are of a type commonly used on computer pcb's, disk drives and the like. Have you anything like that, fro which you could 'borrow' such a jumper?

    LabGear 6+1

Always get a better antenna, than attempt to amplify a poor signal, because an amplifier just amplifies signal, plus noise.

Which is all that matters! The strength you are measuring, is the strength of the signal from the amp. Boosting the strength into the amp, will not boost the strength from each port of the amp. Try plugging the cable directly from the antenna, into a TV, then report the signal level and quality.
