Hi all,

In the process of buying a project house up north. Three bed semi, interwar. The two larger bedrooms both have what look to be large pipes that stick out about 5 cm from rest of the wall and have been filled in. Photo attached.

Any ideas what these could be and best approach to get them flush with the wall? On the outside of the house it's been rendered so you cant see any evidence of the pipes.

My best guess is some kind of old heating system. Or someone couldn't decide where to put their toilet

Diameter? Metal or plastic?

A multi tool (the oscillating type, not a Leatherman) will be able to cut the pipe flush.
