I'm turning my 6' x 8' bathroom into a wet room for my wheelchair bound mom. I'm planning on using Red Guard on the floor and 6" up the walls. My walls will have an expoxy surface with Red Guard on the back. Since I am waterproofing all of the floor is is still necessary to put a pan in the shower zone before installing the tile floor? The substrate is a wooden floor.
