How to repair laminate worktop damage

Hi,
One of my friends vacated the property.
The worktop in the kitchen looks like the attached image.
Not sure what happened.
Could anyone please tell us how we can fix it?

Looks like it got too wet in the second pic and too much hot things on the first pic...

Replace worktops.

You can try and get a magic man to repair it, but that'll cost upwards of 500 big ones.

As above, the cost of a repair might be prohibitive. And at best, might be temporary.

The damage up to the tiling- I cant see how they are at fault for that.
