I live in the basement of a house being the poor bloke I am.

The noise and vibration from upstairs (which is carpeted), when people walk, and especially when somebody jumps is enough to drive me to the mental home.

I would like to invest in materials, strip the carpet, install whatever insulating materials I need, and then replace the carpet.

What do I need?

P.S I dont want to hear any noise after this not even a drop, as if there was stone flooring.
