After excessive use of water to clean our gas hob, the ignition has now broken.
At first it started to fire continually (every second) so I tried leaving it to dry and even turning on all the burners but this didn't help.
Next day I turned the main oven switch back on but the igniter wasn't working at all!
Have checked the hob wire and plug which has a 3A fuse in a 13A plug (suggested to be ok in this topic) and even a new fuse in the plug won't resurrect the hob.
Is there a user serviceable fuse within the hob itself or can the ignition system be replaced (easily)? A completely new hob is going to set me back a fortune if you include the Corgi guy as well.
Many thanks for your help
Stephen
