So I got all the roots I could see on the first one but even having cut through all of them it would not budge. It seemed like there were roots directly below I could not access. Do all roots go out sideways? Seems impossible to get to the ones underneath

There is no way in hell either of them would come up with a mattock underneath. I’m 16 stone and with my full weight on it, having cut the roots for 2 hours it wouldn’t move. They look smaller in the pic than they are!
