rough idea of prices

Hi,
Im new to this forum found you all by accident!

Hoping to undertake a renovation of my downstairs living area. I want to block off a 7foot archway in my thru lonunge dining room. I then need to knock down the wall dividing the kitchen and dining room, thus making a larger kitchen. The supporting wall is the archway wall. Im having trouble getting a builder to come and give me a quote...I dont know if my job is too small?

Has any kind sole on here got any ideal of general price for this?

Have you tried the rated people website, http://www.ratedpeople.com/
It would be difficult to guess a price without seeing it.
Is the dividing wall between kitchen and dining room, also supporting anything from above or tieing the house in?
