Is this a re-bed or repoint job?

Looking at some of the worst case areas, where over the decades on a 60's tiles roof, the lower verge tiles have eroded and fallen, creating a nice gap for rain to penetrate. It's interesting that the tile has eroded more than the cement filets.

What's the best solution here? Remove all the verge tiles, re-lay and replace where necessary or repoint the nasty gaps? Or even re-lay with dry verge tiles.

The conundrum for me is that since the roof is 60 years old, it's probably reaching it's EOL date. Do I get a roofer to do a patch job (was thinking of using Flexipoint as well) that would be cheaper than re-bed the verge, then plan on a new roof down the road or do a proper job on the verge hoping the roof will last another 20 years...

We live inland from the coast, but get some pretty stinking weather that seems to strike that side the worst, since all the other verges look quite intact.

I've seen Marley do clay cloak tiles, is that an option for retrofitting?

Perhaps your concrete plain tiles were disturbed when a PVC barge board was installed? Perhaps the tile undercloak dropped a little?
Simply point the gaps and then leave well alone, your roof cover should last for many years to come.
