Hi all,

We have an Intellisense c023-203 (Securitech ST800L+) installed in our house. Ever since my partner moved in many years ago, she's never known the code.

We're due to have decorators in shortly to re-plaster the walls in the hallway and so I figured I needed to do something about the issue as the keypad would need removing from the wall. Thanks to posts here and @sparkymarka in particular I've managed to reset the codes and sort out new ones. Cheers for that.

I have been left with a couple questions though,
I'm going to need to power the system down again (wishing I'd left it off for now) while they are plastering and may even relocate the keypad. Is there anyway to not have the outside sounder go off for so long after powering it down? Would using the engineer mode and changing the sounder duration to the minimum before powering down have any effect? I suppose that would depend if the sounder duration info was stored in the sounder or at the pcb.

Secondly, what does the volume adjuster on the pcb actually adjust? Is it supposed to be the volume of the internal sounder/speaker? Ours is incredibly loud for the area it is in.

Lastly, and this is more just out of curiosity, what is the link 1 jumper on the pcb for?

Cheers.

And thanks again for the help with resetting the codes already.

Depends on how the external sounder is attached to the panel and which external sounder you have.

Volume on the pcb is for the panel speaker.

The volume pot is …if I remember correctly the part set only volume ….full set is full volume ….if too loud fit smaller speaker …eg a texecom one
Link 1 is to bypass the tampers on the system …eg testing the panel with the lid off ..

Bell box …this all depends on what is fitted ….may have battery back up ….may not …..may have cut off timer …may not
Without posting pictures of the bellbox or the speaker it’s all a guessing game …
