Happy Lung Cancer, I mean Christmas

Just heard a patient talking about it.

He is planning to complain to the authorities.

It's a disgraceful occurrence where people have relied too much on technology to do their job for them.
This makes me wonder how many people have been notified of test results, gone to hell and back over them, even had a number of hospital/specialist consultations, only to be told, "Sorry, it's a mistake and you are actually healthy."

Far worse if you get a false negative result!

I went through weeks of worry, when they expressed concerns about my prostate. Instead of their concerns starting at a low level they went at it full scale - until, after all the processes, US scans, MRI scans, digital - they announced 'no problems, natural enlargement'.

My dad got sent the wrong letters for his prostate cancer and got a letter saying his PSA was over 800 and likely to be metastatic. in fact his PSA was under 1, due to the hormone/radio therapy he was on.

He was worried that the other patient would get some incorrect "great news".
