I want to convert a 'normal' over bath shower to a rain/drench shower with hand shower. I have added some pics of my shower as it is now. I cannot find a plumber for love or money so will have to do it myself. Present shower shown below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Brian

Just buy a rigid riser rainshower kit (lots available online), fit it where the current handset riser rail is, use your current bar shower and just attach the flexi house

Thanks a lot gents. Will have a look around for one of those kits.

Madras, that pic looks OK but what is that thing sticking out of the top just below the shower head? Could you give me a link to that particular kit? Ah, I think I see now, it's the hand shower?

Yes, it's a pencil hand shower, that can be replaced by an typical handset.

I picked up a link to amazon but there's loads and loads - don't forget too, you get what you pay for

Rigid riser kit

Thanks a lot Mad. Much appreciated. Yes, I don't believe in buying cheap if I can help it.

You have not mentioned your hot water source.

The design water flow rate might not be met from a combi boiler.

Best to check the spec of proposed shower head and before buying it and to check the dynamic flow rate of your bathroom hot water supply.
