    What is a Smart Phone?

Kids are now just like adults and get all their homework schedules, timetables, school letters, and actual homework sent to them by various electronic means (email, apps, Facebook). They also, with the teachers permission, use the internet to look up answers and do online questionnaires with the...

    Fluctating led dimmer

Another vote for the varilight v ,pro. Annoyingly expensive, but work very well with led.

Door Lining On Super Thick Wall

Note that if there is space I often add, where the hinges will be, a block of wood inside the door liner (between the liner and wall) . This allows for longer screws to be used. Or rather that the screws will have more thickness of wood to be screwed into.

    Correctly wired LED dimmer?

Suggest you use a good brand led dimmer such as a varilight pro: https://www.screwfix.com/p/varilight-v-pro-2-gang-2-way-led-dimmer-switch-white/98455?

    External light wire gauge

I have 25m of 1.5mm rubber cable supplying several 12V led spots from a 12V DC supply. I know (as I measured it) there is a voltage drop of a couple of volts, but I cannot visibly see any dimming of the lights down the garden. I reckon you will be fine. I would suggest you simply plug then in...

    Makita DHP486 settings

The 'screw driver's settings are the numbers. You use these numbers to set how far into the wood/wall you put the screw so you do not bury the screwhead too deeply into the wood. I set it through trail and error so the screw heads are flat to top of wood surface. Not sure about the dash marks...

Installing Hafele flexible LED light without a profile

Their lifetime likely be reduced when they do not have a suitable 'heatsink' to dissipate their heat if directly sunk into a wood channel. But they are often used in this manner. And never 100% sure on actual heat dissipation when using a metal channel. So likely okay for the described DIY...

Capacitor CBB65D (seems plastic)? - Dishwasher

Ps. Orientation of wires (+ and -ve) on this type of capacitor does not matter. You can put either wire on either terminal.

Capacitor CBB65D (seems plastic)? - Dishwasher

Search for 5uF 450V motor capacitor Not sure why it is labelled as CBB65 as I would be going for a CBB60 For example one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=CBB60&_trksid=p2334524.m4084.l1313&_odkw=CBB65 You need to see if your capacitor has spade connectors or wires.it looks...

    Erbauer brushless twin pack, thoughts?

Pack contents 1 x cordless combi drill, 2 x 2.0Ah lithium ion batteries, 1 x charger, 1 x TSTAK case Got me worried there - but above shows that it does have a charger.

    Erbauer brushless twin pack, thoughts?

I would currently go for this one, as cheaper than teh one you showed, same batteries, metal drill bit and much shorter so fits better between joists, in cupboards, etc https://www.toolstation.com/dewalt-dcd709d2t-gb-18v-xr-brushless-compact-combi-drill/p60545

    LED Batten fittings

Not an electrician, but a diyer. I 'believe' that these are, but has been a while since I last used them. The link goes to several versions as you choose length and led colour. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/tcl/search?query=led+batton Is there a TLC near you? (TLC normally sell to electricians...
