To cut a very long story short, I dont know how but half of the 4k7 resistors they supplied me with in the new panel were faulty! The 2.2 ones were fine. I started testing them all with the multimeter after I was getting strange results in the panel diagnostics. I put in some working ones and...
Thanks - I have just tried that. With the magnet away from the sensor im getting 2.7k with the magnet on the sensor (i.e. closed circuit) im getting 2.2k?
The DP jumper is intact. I even tried wiring this contact into Zone 2 with the same issue. I've got another new contact to try now just...
I just gave that a go and it's causing a fault. I've uploaded part of the diagram in the manual...it does look like it's the 4k7 over the contacts. Thanks
Hi all,
Im a bit stuck with trying to get a door contact to work on an EOL config on a Pyronix/Castle Euro Mini Panel.
I have programmed the panel to use 4k7 for alarm and 2k2 for tamper...seems to work fine with the PIR's i've tested (although they have the pre-wired jumpers in them)
If...
Hi Yealeguy3,
Many thanks for your reply. I guess thats why theres not much info about it. Mine is a brand new panel so it may have been removed. I will give it a try and see.
Thanks again
Hi All,
I piggybacked on another tread to ask this question but did not receive a reply so i thought id start a new thread.
I've seen in various places online that with the Yale 6400 it is possible to listen into your home using the panels inbuilt microphone. How do you do this? I've...
Hi YaleGuy,
I notice you mentioned listening into your home using the panels inbuilt microphone. How do you do this? I've looked everywhere but all I can find are the instructions (from the manual) i've pasted below. Have I missed something?
Many thanks...
Thanks for the replies.
75Pete, are you referring to the PCB (which has been removed in the pic). There is an earth point with a couple of other earth wires connections, you think its come from there?
Below are a couple of pics of the yellow wire connection behind the thermostat knob...
Hi,
I will try take some better pics when I get home... The yellow wire is connected to the back of the thermostat control knob and it almost looks like an earth connection as it is connected to something that looks like a small earthing plate. Its not a very long wire…maybe around 6 inches...
Hi,
The PCB on my Potterton Profile boiler (http://www.rwl-supplies.co.uk/img/boiler1.jpg) required changing. When I opened up the boiler, I noticed a yellow wire which was connected to the rear of the thermostat control knob. Problem is, the other end of the wire looks like its been cut...
Thanks for your reply.
The pipe leaks all day..even when the boiler is not in operation. But I will make sure the pressure does not go above 2 bar when in use.
Maybe I'll try to release some pressure/water a few times to see if it clears the valve before I replace it.
Cheers
Hi all,
I had a problem where my diverter valve was not working, so got that replaced…now that my hot water/heating is working fine again – I am having to fill up my boiler every day. After around 24 hours the pressure drops to 0. I have noticed the pipe outside the house which is connected...
Thanks for your replies guys.
Chrishutt...sorry to sound simple, but between the boiler and the floor there is a tap like connection on one of the pipes, would this be one of the valves you are talking about? I checked it and it it turned off.
