Spot on!
Brought a Torus from B&Q today and it looks like this:
I need to put this along a new plasterboard wall that meets the current skirting as show in my initial post.
Can someone please advise.
Can you not vary the intensity of the hammer action or drill? Is it literally on or off?
Are the numbers only there for screwing power? They have no effect on drill or hammer action?
For context, my current drill has one dial where you set screw, hammer or drill and then another dial with...
I know this is a classic case of RTFM!
But can someone advise on why this doesn’t have a screw setting? My previous Makita had 3 settings: hammer, drill and screw. Also, what if I set it to one of those dashes between the drill and hammer? Does this have any significance?
Thanks
Should one of the boards butt against the other in the corner or do we leave a gap between the two?
If I use plasterboard screws on the bead, will it not sit too proud and hence difficult to cover with easifill?
I need to board around this external corner and wanted some advice please. I am using a thin coat angle bead and 12.5mm plasterboard. I will then use easifill to finish off the corners and any screws, before painting.
Do the plasterboards meet in this corner in a particular way? Does the bead...
This would indeed be quite difficult. The CU is in the centre of the house and it will mean considerable upheaval to thread a cable through the house.
On the subject of a separate Consumer Unit on the utility room, wouldn’t this be beneficial from an isolation point of view? It could have 3...
Thanks guys. I've read the above a few times but struggling to take it in.
The stains within the glass unit were not there from the outset and have developed over the last 12 months. Window was fitted 5 years ago. I am comfortable to remove the beading and measure pane. The above suggests that...
Thanks. I've seen a few YouTube videos and will give it a go. Wish it was ground floor as opposed to the first floor. Will move my car, just in case!
I was going to get the hinges from Screwfix, unless you advise a different type.
The water stains are within the panes of glass. Not on the outer or inner pane. Hope that makes sense.
If this isn’t repairable, would measuring the thickness tell me whether it’s double or triple glazed?
This window has dry water marks within the glass. I assume it needs to be replaced and I think it’s triple glazed but was unsure. Can someone identify this from these images?
Also, I was planning to remove the edging and measure the actual glass before I order. Is that the recommended approach?
