Issue sorted, fault was in the washing machine which was connected to circuit, machine removed and no issue now, many thanks guys for your input

Yes totally agree will try and isolate the washing machine and see if it still happens

Washing machine, it was the 20 amp isolator Back box where The arking occurred which feeds a double socket which the washing machine was plugged into

No all secure now a fully working, when rcd pressed socket is dead so rcd working fine thanks for your post

No I was not using a neon screwdriver at the time the arking was produced when the screw came in contact with the fixing lug in the metal backbox

When I was putting the faceplate back on I did not have it isolated at the time, Yes this is the socket next to the isolator cheers

All sockets in kitchen tested and all ok, if it is voltage leaking to earth would you think it is leaking from the neutral side as I would have thought if it was on the live side it would be a dead short and both rcd and mcb would trip?

Yes it is a neon type, floor type is wooden floor with linoleum (vinyl) cover, no problems with neighbours that my son is aware of it is a flat he lives in, will test the socket and get back to you. Cheers
