    First have you tried reseting boiler? As its a system boiler your going to have 3 port motorised valve or 2 two ports. To check if you actually have a switched live to boiler your going to need a multimeter and be competent to use it.

    Internal easy just a folded dog eared corner external needs bossing or we would just leadburn both. Yes needs either to be turned into wall or cap flashed. Clear picture would be useful.

    15mm is fine behind dot and dab it's only 5mm beyond 10mm Plus 15 is what's use for h&c and that goes behind dot and dab as well.
