best way to wire these spotlights

No doubt a stupid question- how do you use the single loop terminal, to next light fitting?

best way to wire these spotlights

Ah right yes those look useful- thanks. I take it though that these connectors would all go back to where the old rose was? I'm just thinking it is a lot of connections at one central spot which daisy chaining avoids... Would something like this work, and then I can take the live switch/neutral...

best way to wire these spotlights

Hi all. I have a set of 3 spotlights to install (GU10 bulbs) and I was expecting a loop in/loop out type connection to be able to daisy chain them. However, all I have is a terminal block as per photo, for each one. Do I need to wire these all individually from the one location where the...

    Steel shower tray advice

Have you actually seen this happen with a decent quality steel shower tray or just hypothesising?

    Steel shower tray advice

ah yes that does look like the ultimate leak free solution. With this one, having redone my measurements I essentially have a choice of 6mm hardie on 2 of the shower niche walls (I will put in loads of extra noggins so centres will be reduced, to make sure it is rigid) into which the tray will...

    Steel shower tray advice

Right. I thought it was regarded best to have a tray up against the backer boards rather than leave a void, and then tiles which will obviously overhang the tray edge by around 10mm i.e. thickness of tile/adhesive?

    Steel shower tray advice

Erm...with the matching waste it was 720. Plus no postage to pay obviously so a saving there. I'd best not mention how much our smart toilet was that I'm putting in...

    Steel shower tray advice

Thanks- I did install a stone resin tray in our other shower room so as you say hopefully the risk is minimal if installed as per manufacturers recommendations etc. That said I went for that steel tray in the end for this project, from a local bathroom shop rather than online which worked out a...

    Steel shower tray advice

Hi all, I'm looking for a shower tray for our shower room renovation. I stumbled across the reassuringly expensive Bette steel shower trays as they happened to be the dimensions I was after (750 x 750) which would fit perfectly into our existing niche, once I've boarded etc. All other trays...

How to tidy up this cable entry

Hi all. I have a google outdoor camera on the outer wall, with the cable coming through the wall to the inside, and then dropping down where the plug socket is. This is replacing an old cctv camera where the cable ran through the mount otherwise I perhaps would have run the new cable externally...

Vented to unvented - general queries

Built into the quote as an added charge and no option to opt out. Here's the blurb from Heatgeek. As you say it is rather off-putting even if the overall charge they propose for all of the work (where it looks like these companies assume they might need to convert to sealed and add cylinder)...

Advice for tape and joint plasterboard/corners etc

Thanks! The angle lines around the window reveals I was quite pleased with. I think our plasterer quoted me £1600 to board the whole room and skim (me supplying boards) which on reflection was quite good value as this did take a long time- photo only shows half the room and there's another velux...
